I graduated from SMU in Dallas just this past December with a B.S in Management Science and 2 master degrees in Engineering Management and Operations Research. I landed a job with Sogeti USA LLC (A subsidiary company of Capgemini), this is my first job and I am starting out with Testing and Quality Assurance. Later in one year I would like to move on to Business Intelligence working with SQL development and then move on to using SAP since that is MOST relatable to my majors. Am I on the right track with everything? I ask this question because the work I am doing is different from my majors its more software related. Also after 2-3 years I want to switch to Deloitte Consulting, are these good goals to have for my career path? Thank you for your time and inputs. **the reason also why I want to change is because my pay is lower than what I expected, at the moment my annual base salary is $45,000, with 3 degrees I feel I can do better**

You're on the right track if this is what you want to do -- i.e. IT/outsourcing.If you want to work on operations or strategy, then you're on the wrong track.Deloitte and Capgemini/Sogeti are set up like the same company -- they're both full service consulting firms that do management, IT, and outsourcing. Switching firms is good, but it probably won't affect the nature of your work in this case unless you're switching business units.

I would like to follow my impossible dream. No matter how hopeless. No matter how far. So far I have contributed exactly 32.564 of the total effort (allowing for luck variables) required to meet stage 4 of the dream. Am I on the right track?

Thanks I appreciate your inputs. I ultimately want to get into SAP and Supply Chain Management, is it ok that I will come from a software background?

Did you go back to uni to do a bachelor's AFTER you already have 2 masters? How old are you? How much work experience do you have? Is the role you landed with Sogeti a grad/junior role? How come you have such a specific career plan, knowing what role and company you want to work for? Why do you want to get into supply chain man't - seems boring as!?I'm just confused!

(taught, not research), which was only another 12 months. I guess this person followed up his first degree with 2 MScs. Or, it was like a joint award or something. And you call yourself a "consultant"? LOL! Assman really is an apt name :) Chill!
