Hi All,First time poster on here. Currently work at a consultancy and was curious how people continue to network even while already employed. What are some tips for reaching out to other people at other shops to express interest/learn what they do/build your network. Although I may not be looking for a job at the moment, I want to continue to keep my options option and build a strong network.

Other "shops"? I assume you mean "other companies"? Anyway, the answer is just go and join an association of some sort and go to their evening events.

Whoa, is this even possible? I normally take a whole year off work every 2 years and dedicate it to networking. I have never tried doing both at the same time!

Essentially just talk to people at your client site... place i currently work has people from all sorts of consultancies and other organisations. Best place to start is all these offices you visit being a consultant.
