Hello experts and consultants,Happy New YearAfter 5 years working in Insurance as an IT analyst, I have found myself with 2 job offers from KPMG in Tech Risk consulting and EY in EMEIA Financial Service, and I hope you can give me some advise and shed some lights to help me make the right choice. the particular areas i'm thinking about are:1) Work-life balance2) Career progression3) Client's portfolio4) International projects (mobility within the firm)5) Work CultureI would highly appreciate any advise you guys can provide, as its my first move into a consulting environment.

Recruiters of all hue and stripes spend many many hours amplifying the often miniscule differences between Big 4 firms. It's mandarins and clementines at the best of times really. You cant go wrong with either. Base your decision on the stuff which will really distinguish one from the other i.e. best total offer, who did you like more when you met them, how soft was the bog roll etc. I say this because whichever one you join, once you are in the Big 4 you'll probably work for at least 2 of them before moving out of there anyway. Join KPMG and you'll probably work for EY anyway and vice versa.

Thanks @marsdayVery interesting analogy, very helpful.money wise they both are offering the same and that's what makes it more difficult.

both pretty much the same:1)Work-life balance: non-existent2) Career progression: slow3) Client's portfolio: world's biggest companies4) International projects (mobility within the firm): could do5) Work Culture: work, work, and more work
