Hi All, I need some urgent advice, I am a senior consultant at Accenture (Level 9) and I am waiting for an offer from Capgimini on Manager level (T7) not yet received the offer but was asked about my expectations on the phone, my questions are :1. How is Capgemini compared to ACN ? I am happy in Accenture but my concerns are long working hours and low salary with long waiting list on promotions , however, I can still choose my project and where to go / work from home frequently 2. How much a Manager Level in Capgemini T7? I was told on the phone a figure around 56K basic + Flexi fun 9K that make 65K + medical and pension, is this fair for a manager level? my expectation was around 75K - this is what ACN is paying for a a manager level 3. how is the working culture in Capgemini in general? is there a lot of travel? what about work-life balance ? as I have a family and 3 kids !!thanks all for answering ASAP - I am expecting an offer in a day or 2 ThanksMark

1. Probably similar. 2. Seems low to come in on, but I guess it's relative to what you're on currently? Also be careful with Cap on the flex fund, they tend to include your pension in that number which inflates it, worth double checking. 3. Probably more chilled then ACN, but project dependant. Same for travel and work/life balance really.

Thanks Mike , How much would be an Ideal Salary to target for CG Manager grade in Technology T7 , my target is 70K plus medical and pension , is this the range usually?

Yes that would include pension and medical. Your salary plus flex fund will be your total package. Not a huge surprise that this is lower than accenture, but given that you're looking at the tech rather than management consulting side of capgemini the salary would be a bit lower and alongside that the stress/hours possible.Types of clients/projects and time away from home would be comparable to where you are now, but at least now you have an internal network and maybe some close sponsors that can get you onto the projects you really want to be on? You might have to start making these friends from scratch somewhere new...Good luck!

The range is wide. There will be people earning more than 70 at that grade and people earning less than 70. Do you think you're coming in at the bottom end of T7 or do you think you're already pushing for T8? Do you currently have a base >50k? Do you have something that's in demand within the company right now? Specialist skills etc? These are the questions you have to ask yourself.
