It is my dream to work in PE. I have a STRONG backgorund having completed a graduate programme in retail banking. I ran a project to streamline personal lending and have a great meeting/project/soft/finance skills. I have 30 ucas points, a phd but a 2:2. Tell me I&apos;ll still make it though, yeah? Cheers mate.

SHEESH. Grow some balls. You have a PhD? Well that trumps your 2:2. So, just don&apos;t mention it. As far as they&apos;re concerned, you&apos;re DR ABILOJU not "Mr 2:2". You have moved on since then. Next thing you guys are gonna be asking if you have to include the grades you got during a mid-term geography test when you were 12. Sheesh.

Calling people &apos;mate&apos; will go down SO well in PE, so keep it up! Not.The academics will be interesting, but your experience in retail banking? Irrelevant to PE. Even the boutiques want 2nd and 3rd year analysts or year 1 associates from IB.
