Hi folks, I'm interested in getting into data analytics consulting, and wondering if you could suggest the best organisations to work with? I know that the Big 4 have analytics practices. I've had a look into MBB, but it seems that you really have to enter as a generalist, and general strategy consulting isn't quite what I want to do. I have a maths background and want to remain connected to that in some way. There are also of course boutique firms (I'm in Australia). Any thoughts would be welcome... thanks all!

Afraid I only know the UK market for this, but Experian and FICO do analytics consultancy globally - try googling firms that do things like...risk scorecard scorecard developmentfraud detection analyticsetc

Kid,Am going to assume that you have a solid maths background but none re. analytics. I'd suggest doing that SAS programme, at Northwestern??? The quant/stats bitis not the problem, but when it comes to analytics and especially big data analytics, you need a good grasp of the tools, be it SAS or R.Places like SAS and SAP will offer you the opportunity to get your hands dirty. This is the best way to get into analytics.
