Afternoon all,I'm hoping that some of you may be able to provide insight here - in particular, I guess I'm interested in a recruiter's perspective.I won't bore you with a lengthy profile of my qualifications and experience (unless it turns out to be a decisive factor) and I will jump straight to the burning question: How is a PRINCE 2 qualification regarded in the world of internal strategy / external consultancy? The reason I ask is that I have seen a remote learning course advertised for £200 which, I understand, represents a £300 saving. However, it's not often that I see reference to PRINCE qualifications on job specifications, so I'm wondering if it would 'add value' to a resume that already holds a B.Sc, M.Sc and 4 years in industry? (If that sounded in the least bit arrogant, it wasn't supposed to!)Can anyone offer their perspective? Happy to provide further context if necessary. Thanks in advance. Much appreciated!

if you're remotely interested in doing any project management work in the future, get it.virtually all PM jobs ask for PRINCE2. Even though nobody ever actually uses it fully.

I'd heard PMP was starting to be considered the more desirable qualification for senior PMs.

Thanks Bushy / President, appreciate your responses. Certainly sounds like it's not going to do my resume any harm and is, presumably, attractive to recruiters outside of 'pure' PM - e.g. It would be useful for a strategy consultant to have some understanding of how such a proposal could be implemented... no?Or, in your view, is it so specialised that it would only open doors within the PM community?Final question (for now!): is there any 'snobbery' about where your PRINCE 2 is accredited? I ask because this particular offer is in partnership with Grenwich University - perhaps not the most dazzling of institutions?!If PRINCE 2 is 'simply' a syllabus, then I guess it doesn't matter, but I'm mindful of the 'brand' issue with regard to MBA qualifications...(Pardon my ignorance throughout.)

4 years in industry is an ideal juncture for your PM certification and it is indeed just a syllabus - no one will be remotely interested where you got it.
