Well of course; you have selected two companies and tried to make a rule.But as I'm sure you know:-S&P was formed by a merger in 1941 of STANDARD statistics bureau (that did reports on non-railroad companies - founded 1900s) and H.V. and H.W. POOR Co. (that did reports on railroad companies - founded in 1860s)-Moody;s Investor Services was set up by John MOODY in the 1900s 'to produce manuals of statistics related to stocks and bonds and bond rating'The names only look perplexing in retrospect.
