Hi,I will be graduating as a commercial engineer this year and career-wise I have my eyes set on strategy consulting firms such as AT, Berger, Arthur D Little and the likes (no MBB).Before starting my career, however, I would like to enroll in a one-year Master which focuses on business strategy.A first reason is definitely out of interest, but a second is because my grades right now (or I should say, my grades of previous years as those are the ones they'll be looking at) won't help me get a chance at any of the aforementioned firms. An additional year at a top university combined with better grades this, and that additional, year should at least get me an interview. So here's the problem:I want to get into a top university which requires good grades (usually minimum requirement of 70%) in order to get around having average grades.. problem obviously being that they are average. How strict are these 70% minimum requirements usually? Are there other kinds of Masters, or perhaps other things such as internships, that could make strategy consulting firms ignore my average grades up to this point?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
