Has anyone watched the American sitcom House of Lies? It's loosely based on the book of the same name, and follows a group of management consultants in the US.Very funny, if a bit far fetched!

Your post prompted me to spool up the recording of the first episode last night - so thanks! Had a few good laughs; certainly hope Joe Public don't perceive this is what our lives are like though!Tony RestellFounder, http://www.Top-Consultant.com and http://www.Social-Hire.com

I'd say quite a different style of humour and style. The storylines move at a fair pace (a whole consulting project from win to completion in a 30 minute episode!) and are in many ways absurd in a way that The Office wasn't. The Office you could actually envisage a lot of the things happening in small companies with the right people involved.House of Lies is more in the realms of fantasy - although does deal in a humorous way with issues like the banking crisis. But then you have all the excel modeling and preparing presentation decks that are just so close to home you shudder!Enjoy!Tony Restell

Really feared that this series was going to be all about slagging off the consulting industry, but it's pure genius comedy. Look forward to every new episode - one to add to your Xmas list if you've not been watching!Tony

Sky Atlantic, 10pm on Tuesdays. Repeated on Saturdays, I think.Episode 8 (of 12) is next on Sky, but you can find the whole series pretty easily online.Series 2 starts in the US in January.

TV is over rated Bushy. Personally I prefer to spend my evenings with the family shotgun, taking pot shots at the peas..pheasants on the estate.

yeah, i know what you mean mars. BBC and most other channels now are full of left wing drivel. i actually can't bring myself to watch the BBC any more, it's that bad. have you seen the BBC breakfast news lately? frumpy middle aged women showing a bit of knee on the sofa and aggressively pushing a leftist agenda. argh, can't bear it.

Bit of both Cool - but thanks to the recent acquisition of a swivel chair and resident smithers getting over his heart attack and being able to run relatively quickly again after an 'accelerated convalescence' I get the rabbits and the grabits with just a bit of long barrell grappling from smithers.
