Hi, I'm looking for some much needed advice.I am a SC at a Big 4 and realistically looking to get promoted to Manager within the next 12 months. I have had a child 11 months ago and whilst I'm not completely streched financially, I have nothing left at the end of the month. The promotion and payrise couldnt come sooner.However, my operating sector at my company is really struggling, we havent won any work over the past year, attrition rates are high, morale is low and I don't see how they can promote anyone in the near future.I do enjoy where I work but is it wise to stick around and see out the promo or should I jump ship to a competitor and come in at Manager level with the assumed 20-30% pay increase.

Well really, it would appear that you don't have to be Albert Einstein to figure this one out.Option 1: Dead-end department in the Big 4 and not paid enough.Option 2: 30% pay increase elsewhere in a company that is doing well.I figure you're also considering Option 3: Poke in the eye?
