I am IT professional with about 30 years of line management experience having worked in aviation and financial services industries. I have worked from start-up stage to set up IT, develop strategies, design and develop infrastructure, implement number of projects, etc. I was recently made redundant due to the economic downturn. I am 58 years and my attemps to get a job has failed miserably due to my age. I would like to get into consultancy. Since I do not have experience in this line, I am not able to make an entry into any of the consluting firms. Can someone guide me how to break this barrier.
