What are the exit opps like compared to MBB? Particularly for Private Equity and Corporate strategy roles.Do you currently work at Marakon? If so, where are the majority of your clients based - is there much international travel?Cheers.

Hi thev,In respect to your query on exit opps, I would say that a shift to a strategy team in a major corporate is the most common path. Moves into private equity are more rare (but not unheard of).How corporate strategy opportunities compare to MBB is a bit more difficult to say. MBB are obviously stronger brands, but on the other hand we focus exclusively on corporate strategy (hence, on a ‘prior relevant experience’ level, one would be well positioned). I imagine that one’s experience with MBB could be more varied (perhaps others can comment on this). On your additional questions; most clients tend to be local, and for clients based internationally, we typically have people away from home for 3 days a week. Oily

Hi - no, its not unrealistic at all. There is a minimum 2.1, but applications from any university are welcome. You will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills and critical thinking. We are looking for 5-10 associates this year for our London office, with a similar intake for the US.Joseph.

Hi Joseph,For experienced hires, what's your current intake and typically what levels of experience do you look for?Bit of background, I have a BSc in Physics and Languages (Nottingham), an MSc in Mining and Energy Finance (Imperial Business School), and have worked for just shy of 2 years for a start-up consultancy specialising in the Mining and Energy sectors. Being their first hire, I had a client-facing experience right from the start, working with FTSE-100s and smaller mining/energy companies.Would Marakon be interested in someone with my experience-level? Many thanks,Raphael

Hello Joseph,I am also curious about your experience hires. Do you look for a specific skill set and background? Does Marakon consider hiring from abroad (Canada)? Thank you.
