Hi - Does anyone know what is the situation with Deloitte Consulting right now in terms of recruitment. I was interviewed and then assessed in their AC almost 2 months back. My recruiter has advised me to be patient as they are keen on me but can not make a decision as yet because of global economy situation. Is this normal? I just do not know what to do? I have got a couple of other offers on the table but am really keen on Deloitte Consulting. I have been promised by my recruiter that an offer will be made ( but its not a guarantee). Any suggestions please?Thanks forum.

The customer hiring pipeline has shut down temporarily. There was a big recruitment drive as you'll know, but the hiring is on hold, I was told until the new year. I don't sit in the practice and so don't know the specifics.Given the recent recruitment drive there is probably a large number of interviewed candidates in your boat. Over ambitious recruitment is not the norm at Deloitte. You should take some comfort that they haven't hired you only to sit on the bench and then make you redundant in a years time with either no valuable experience or no valuable experience in your area of interest.If as you've been told you were successful at AC and so it's likely you will eventually get an offer if you maintain your interest. I would be surprised if it was in the next 2 months. Without knowing more about your situation it is hard to suggest any action.
