Dear Interested, My Phd is in Biomedical Engineering, and I am currently a Senior Consultant after 4 years in consultancy. In all honesty, I think it will be tougher for you than for some others, however that being said I think that it is by no means impossible. What I suggest is that you write a business focused CV and covering letter, i.e one where you translate your learning's into £ signs. I am not that familiar with your area of expertise, but I suggest you highlight the transferability of all your skills and all you knowledge to specific therapeutic areas. In terms of consultancies to target, I would say: -PA Consulting (they are currently recruiting people with your background, trust me, I have had to dodge a few of their recruiters!) -ZS Associates (Niche but highly rated) -IMS (Highly rated, would be a good entry point, although not strictly a management consultancy, if you can speak to someone who recruits for the thought leadership division, it will make the application process easier) Good luck F
