I am currently studying part time a Post Graduate Diploma (core MBA subjects) at Melbourne Business School (MBS) in Australia. I have been working for PwC for the last 4 years since finishing my undergraduate degree. I spent the first 3 years in Tax and the last year in Consulting. At the end of this semester I can transfer into the MBA program at MBS. My goal is to work at MBB in London after finishing my MBA.I am currently considering whether I should complete my MBA at MBS or finish the diploma and apply for the LBS MBA. As funding is an issue, is the extra cost incurred in going to LBS likely to be worth it? Will it dramatically increase my chances applying to MBB in London (assuming good academic performance in either MBA)?Thanks for your help

Definitely go to school where you want to work. So, if you want to live and work in London, go to school there. It also has credibility here. You can sell your credentials much easier that way. People have a frame of reference.

fully agree with the above.if you want to live and work in london, it carries much more value if you do the mba at LBS or the like. I would finish the pdm at mbs and transfer to lbs to do the mba. You will find that lbs has much stronger links with london employers than any non-london based school.

Apply and get into LBS would be a better option than continuing at MBS. You also have to realize that you'll be facing much tougher competition to get into MBB as the London office is one of the most desirable office for lots of MBA students.
