Hello All,I am a new entrant to this forum and quite enjoy the discussions here, at least most of them. I am hopeful to get some advise here from all you experts.I have worked in Outsourcing / Transformation industry for 6 years. I have handled teams, proposed and implemented various projects resulting in reduce costs and / or enhanced end customer experience and been at client interface for the majority of the part. I have recently completed MBA from one of the premier B-schools in Germany and looking for an opening in MC. I would add my German language skills are not enough to work in the language (which has been a barrier). I would like to know:1. What would be the appropriate position for me based on my experience and education, as I am finally seeing some movement towards an interview?2. I am a non-EU citizen. Is this a no-go for most of the consultancies in UK?Any additional advise would be highly appreciated.Thanks.

I'd really appreciate some quick advise on this. And I'll add one more here:o From the brief C.V. I have shared, what are the chances of me actually getting through one (I know this should have been the first question)? I have a great MBA grade (if that helps!)Waiting for the experts (Mr. Cool, may be).

Weeeeell – going out on a limb I’d say your best chance would be to apply for a job that requires some experience in Outsourcing / Transformation , handling teams, implementing projects resulting in reduced costs and /or enhanced end customer experience and working at the client interface. Or you could hope for an MBA graduate position. Most firms have the capacity to hire non-EU people where it can be justified.I take it this leading German B-School isn’t too hot on encouraging individual thought or research? Or have much of a careers service?Chances of getting through an interview? Would be better if you could ask more probing and insightful questions.

Happy to see Mars a Day with some kind of response! :-)I appreciate your thoughts Mr. Cool and agree the questions posed by me are pretty vague. Please give me another chance for explaining my situation.I have had a number of interviews while I was still pursuing MBA (Big 4 / Roland Berger, Monitor, Horvarth) and have been able to please all of them during the case studies and the whole interview process in general. The issue has always been the German language skills and the decentralized format of the companies making it difficult to get the opportunity to present myself for an interview (these interviews materialized because of the platform provided by the school) in other locations. I have had a good stint of 6 years working in various roles though sometimes I think it’s the lack of something totally spectacular in my C.V. that makes me unattractive. My biggest issue here is not really getting a chance to get to the interview rounds. I am connected to the alumni from the school and using their assistance wherever I can but that seems to be the only way to make some in-roads. Is there something that I can change / improve so that I increase my chances to personally present myself? I am a pretty confident person and believe that it’s the first step that is probably the hardest for me to pass through as I consider myself well prepared for the stages later (sounds incongruous though!). Please bear with me if I sound naïve or not up to the standards you expect. I would be happy to share more details to shape your response.
