Hello!I have recently received a grad offer from Atos Origin in managed operations (Project management/solution architect experience) among a couple of other less known consultancies. After reading the less than favorable reviews of Atos on this site from a couple of years ago I would like a more up to date impression from people in the field. My main reasons for considering Atos now are:- They have no plans to sell up- They are showing more initiative in recruiting graduates and expanding with acquisitions like Siemens Consulting.- They are now major Olympics account holder and the prestige they will receive over the next year or so makes me think there will be an influx of talent over the next 3 or 4 years and it may be a good idea to get in early.- They seem relatively understaffed so lots of opportunities to do "impressive" work early on.-Not to mention their London offices are very and they seem to have a laid back culture - is that a good thing in this industry?I am looking for the fastest route into top tier management consultancy so any advice would be excellent. Don't give me bull about prestige, if they are good enough to handle contracts like the Olympics and DWP then they clearly got skills. Thanks!

I understand that this section is not strictly consulting. I thought from a graduate perspective it would be better to get some hands on semi-technical experience in solution architecture/implementation and project management before making a move into consulting and being primarily strategy focused - Something that I hope would make me more valuable and respectable in the long run over people who simply go in at bottom level at Accenture etc..Would this be a valid view point?

I worked for Steria in a non technical capacity on thier grad programme for 3 years and now work for one of the big4. Although working in IT services/System Integrators is a good route into consulting, I'd agree that perhaps a role in Capgemini, ACN or the likes would provide traction and a faster route up the channel. Eitherway you have done well and am sure will find a route into proper MC in the future, good luck.
