Hey hey hey - Im doing great and still around. Dont really bother putting anything on the forum other than the odd advice to a really sane question.I realized early on why this forum exists and it's even more true now after quite some months at ACN - the bulk of the characters here only crib and make fun, the ones who are doing well just dont waste time coming to this forum :-)As for me, I'm in office 4 days a week working 0830 to 1745 only (except one day I had to stay back till 1900) and have an excellent team working for me who respect others and know how to have fun as well - so much for all the negative comments on here.Is it worth my time---NAAAH!!!!Aces

Wow - I have to say that I'm really disappointed! I remember reading a few of the posts from Aces and he sounded:a) really confident (ok - perhaps even over-confident)b) a real go-getterNow he's clearly settled into a 9 to 5 routine.If people like him have taken up the pipe and slippers, what hope the rest of us??Sad days, man. a little off the ball, depressed?Not sure why you get the idea working 9-5 and settling in means loss of drive and confidence? Luckily for me, its the opposite - confident enough to do the work without staring at the laptop for 10 hours or more everyday.I still stand by what I said a few months ago - ACN is good and one needs to be smart to know how to play the game to be ahead in this field. Sounding calm/dead/lethargic on a forum filled with miserable whiners as this sure makes me sound like one as well :-)It's Friday finally but WFH means I can start the Scotch a few hours earlier! Hi Aces, genuinely glad to hear from you. You're right that there are so many moaners on this site. And I also think ACn is a good place (hey, its my place)Listen, don't take this the wrong way but I had you pegged for a real fast progressor. How do you do that without working above and beyond the basic job?I'm not a fool. I know working long hours is not going to bring success on its own, but WFH on Fridays, drinks in the afternoon (its 4.30pm!) and doing 9-6 is what I see every day (well not the scotch!) from established M3/SM's that have decided not to go any further.What am I missing?

Its not all that rosy!!! I travel almost 3hrs for work but actually work in office no longer than 1800When I got the offer, if you remember, I haggled and got a revised offer at Manager level - and now, Im not that greedy. Life's not just about thinking of the next promotion right? Settle into work, excel at client projects (if clients are happy then ACN's happy), get to know the ACN style and when ready at the right opportunity make your move.ACN gave me a good deal and promotions will come in time - in that interval work well and enjoy - helps you keep a perspective on what's important in life and keeps a smile on your face :-)PS : I said I can have the Scotch earlier which meant a round 7pm - there's no way a true Scotch lover will appreciate a drink at 4pm!!!Aces

Recent favorite is the 12yr old doublewood Balvenie....wonderful packing, amazing glass bottle and immaculate taste...started with the 15yr old Glenfiddich a few years back...much better than the 18yr old one....BTW....its always varieties of Grant's when its the month end...I need to cut down then after 1 bottle every Friday night along with the missus.....not economical!!!Aces
