Can anyone tell me what sort of size of presence the Big 4 (particularly Deloitte and E&Y) have in Consulting in Scotland? My firm dont have offices there and while I know the Big 4 do, i'm not sure how big a presence they have and if they even recruit non-accounting folks.

outside Big 4, but Capgemini have offices on the outskirts Edinburgh for the technology and consulting divisions - and arguably a nicer environment all round than the London bases. work tends to be a bit of FS and energy/utilities.

Although a small consultancy, I interviewed with PIPC for their Scottish office recently. Most of their work in Scotland is FS or Oil & Gas industry focused.

Also outside big4 but accenture have offices in central edinburgh and a major presence in aberdeen for O&G.

PA do quite a bit of work in the NHS in Soctland, mainly in the ICU, Jimmy.
