Hi,I have heard it is harder to progress up the ladder nowadays in Accenture Consulting. Is this actually true and if so what is the average time it takes to go from face faced, wet behind the ears grad to C1?Also what length of time is "average" to prgress from C1 to M1. There are guidelines on the website but I want to know views from on the ground.Cheers,JS

Not necessarily. If you have strong ratings, you can make it to C1 within two years. The last year and bit were much harder for obvious reasons, however I wouldn't say it is really much harder than before...

On time would be 2 years analyst to consultant and a further 3 to manager. Took me 2 1/2 years to consultant due to recession but in theory I could be accelerated promote to manager and overall it would have taken 5 years. In practice it's unlikely as there's a bit of a queuing system for promotion at accenture.
