I am working on a long-term public sector project, and along with the rest of the team, received an email requiring us all to "contribute £2 per month to cover the cost of our tea, coffee and milk consumption". My problem is that I am unable to reply to this without betraying my contempt for their petty, small minded, bean-counterish, provincial behaviour.How would you handle this?

I would just drink water instead.£2 per month is very cheap anyway, given how much tea and coffee public sector staff consume. You never see a public sector worker walking around the office without a mug in his/her hand.Next they'll be charing you for toilet roll if you take a 5hit at work.
