To be brutally honest chap, you're screwed. Unless they're totally boneheaded then they're going to realise the score ('scuse the bad pun)...But, maybe there is hope. In ascending order of evilness:1) Craft an elegant PPT deck which explains why it is critical to client and consultant team morale to spend the afternoon in the pub watching the footie2) Throw a sickie3) Suggest an impromptu dinner the night before with your boss and the client. Slip laxative in their food or drinks. Claim to have "food poisoning" also and stay in your hotel room. Stock up on beer and food to avoid having to order room service. Refuse all visitors saying that you're unable to leave the bathroom. Watch footie but also spend an hour or two putting some "insight" together to demonstrate your commitment to the projectEC
