If you could choose a methodology name, what would it be?I like "Lean n Mean", an extension to Lean."Agile" sounds tough but has already been used, as has references to "Black Belt" and so on.Maybe "Butch" but that sounds a bit too 1980s?What is the best work to describe what everyone wants to be?

I've always thought 'penetration test' had promise - already used by err...testers apparently.I think MAUL would be a good one for cost reduction consulting.

Most good change tool kits have both a framework and within that a series of utilities, so I've always thought:F-utility would sum up most consultancy change management work.Though for trendy branding reasons I'd change it to F-utilit-e with the "e" implying some sort if vague connection to the digital economy.Come to think if it "TOOL!" would work quite well too. Simple, easy to spell and describes both the method and the yellow-belted, "ninja" that would undoubtedly lead the practice area.

I propose a new methodology, fit for modern times: OPTI Level 3(Standing for Operational Perspicacity & Transactional Insight)It's got operations and insight in there, so it's bound to be effective. The acronym is also sufficiently forward-looking, in terms of it being the stem for "optimistic".The level 3 part was glued on because we wouldn't want people to think they were just using any old thing that had been cobbled together - no, it's been honed and improved over time.We now need to start drafting a letter to the The International Trade Show for Optics & Design to tell them about the planned takeover of the name though. Any volunteers?

I like that a lot!! "Level 3"..... I must remember that.No longer will our methodologies be "Agile" or whatever. We're going to have "e-Agile Level 3", our own refined version.

I used to work with someone who would constantly talk about taking a client relationship or whatever to 'the next level'. There seemed to be an infinite number of levels, and a new ones was reached every time he did well anything.

I'm going to trademark "MOO".It stands for MethodOlogyOlogy. Because I study those methods twice as hard as you. Separately I was thinking about the Big 4. According to http://www.big4.com/about-us/ they define this as "the global social network for Big Four alumni and professionals (Accenture, BearingPoint, Capgemini, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers)."Seeing a gap in the market I looked to see if I could get BIG7.com. DO NOT DO THIS, the BIG7 seem to offer body shopping (NSFW).
