Hi,The IBM PBC review cycle has just ended... people either get rated as 1 (highest), 2+, 2 and 3 (lowest)...What payrise should you expect at each of the levels? E.g. If you receive a 2+, does that mean you will get a 10% payrise and a 'okayish' bonus?IBMers and Ex-IBMers, please share your thoughts!

10% payrise is out of the question, unless you are fairly junior (i.e the actual amount is quite low in absolute terms and low in relative terms to your band's midpoint) or your manager is a superstar in the company who really thinks highly of you and stands up for you. The bonus is calculated based on your unit's performance and your rating. I had 1's in the past when I got a 5-6% bonus, sometimes a bit more than that (7-8%) (that was in North America, not UK).

Really depends on so called Bonus Pot... From what I have seen:1 - 6-10%2+ - 4-8%2 - 2-6%Though this the general overall trend, it also depends on the Unit performance you belong (in addition to overall company performance)

Things are different across the company, there are no rules. About 4 years ago I got a 1, and got a 1.8% pay rise, next year, got a 2+ and got 2%. If you work in ITD, don't expect very much, elsewhere you've got a better chance. If you get a 2 or below, no pay rise will be available pretty much everywhere in IBM UK

This is the worst company i worked with during my 6 years & 6 months of IT experience.I get 0% of hike and when i resigned in October 2011 the give 3 rating in PBC. Note: I got Project based award on 22nd of Sep., 2011. I am not able to understand how my rating will be 3. Do they have policy to give awards to non performer.regards,Rahul MiglaniEx-Employee: IBM India, Gurgaon

Guys,How does a bad rating effect someone? So, if one get PBC Rating#3, I am sure he/she will not get any merit increase. Does that also mean there will be 0 bonus given or the employee will get atleast the company part of it? Also, how does IBM India treat people with rating 3? Is there a threat to job loss even if the person had 2 and2+ in the past 2 years?
