not myself but chatted last week with a couple of people who work there and they say it is good - an order of magnitude better than Soho and more on a par with the Paris office

Good location - I also work in Midtown. Building looks nice from the outside - refurbished only last year I think.

has that felicitous facilitation facility, whose name I forget, come across from the top floor of Wardour St (you know what I mean, a bunch of whiteboards and some cartoonists) ?

When you say 'work from there' do you mean based there, or do you work in Facilities or Security?Good facilities and good location but if you're a Consultant don't expect to see much of it unless youre on the bench.

There should be a bit more room there now, what with the redundancies announced this week

About 20% of the C5 (Principal) layer have been culled. Affects most BUs. This does not augur well for lower level employees, as killing off the sales engine will inevitably mean redundnancies at lower levels. I don't think that joining CG consulting is a wise move at the present time

not the first time that CG will have abandoned their principals (I know, spelling, but come on, it nearly works...)

Yes - it's "only" 15% of C5s that have been told to leave with little more than the bare legal statutory minimum in this round of cuts.More to follow across lower grades, while the VPs sit there smirking at you

from what I've heard there have been a couple of waves aimed at thinning out only the senior ranks (there has been a structural issue for years of a logjam at C4/C5 level of people who are frankly never going to make VP and effectively just keep themselves billable without contributing further). I'm not a fan of CG's consulting arm as a whole, but the grad scheme is the one part that does shine, so there is a plausible short term career model that says do 2-3 years there to get the best out of the firm then move on to a Deloitte, ACN etc
