Hi Kim, Advisory are doing well - lots of FS work. Not sure about the service line (I'm in programme advisory) but they did some good cost reduction work for private sector as well. Have to say though, before the interview, please do some research. BAS became Advisory over a year and a half ago, integrating what was Business Risk Services and BAS - see the website for the details as the interviewer will ask you

Thanks. What types of clients you mostly work for? (any focus?) I know that in the past it was mostly focused around insurers and PE. Is it still the case or has EY expanded into retail banking and other areas. Also, how would compare EY to the other Big Four.Any other tips for the interview?

First, full disclosure, I sit in Strategy (formerly strategic direction) at EY. Advisory is doing well and growing quite quickly at EY.We are taking on nearly 90 new consultants (entry level, though many are second or third jobbers) this year as well as growing at other levels.ITA is very busy, as is strategy, and customer. There is indeed a lot of FS work, but it seems to be mainly back office stuff and from word of month is less intensive / interesting than PI. As for the Finance function, I haven't heard much but you will be well placed. As compared to the other Big 4, Deloitte, as they never got rid of their consulting arm, are definitely the leaders. However, ourselves and PwC are not far behind. KPMG has had a number of issues going forward and is lagging far behind the rest of the Big 4. Personally I have found EY to be an extremely supportive and welcoming place to work. Finally, just an FYI, we haven't been called BAS in nearly two years, this will result in a ding if you mention it at interview.
