Hi all,Please can all consultants who have had experience working for accenture or have heard about them share their thoughts on Job Security when you work in Accenture.Its true that people with exceptional rare skills like ERP can do well with no problems, but I am asking about ppl who are like Mainframe Consultants.Does Accenture cross skill and also place employees in new environments? Is the job security good? Basically would like to know more about how you get placed in projects & the how good is the probability of getting yourself placed in your next project?Thanks for your advice.

I couldn't comment on 'Mainframe Consultants' but job security in Accenture, as in the case of most consultancies is extremely variable depending on your performance and business unit. Good performers will survive most culls (duh) whereas average and below will probably not last long, esp in harsher times. Regarding business unit/practices, I have seen a number of consultants in units such as FS being made redundant in Acn.. (this was pre the downturn)
