(originally posted 17/10) I currently work for one of the Big4 in FS, and considering moving as MP (circa 11 yrs exp). Heard a lot of Capco's old partners left earlier in 2010 to EY, and they've hired a lot of new ones, mainly from Accenture. As a result, heard lots of old staff left/leaving & tons of new people hired mainly from Accenture. Also heard Capco gearing up for potential sale in a year or two (their main shareholder being a large private equity firm)... They're offering good-ish money and pipeline seems ok if still a little concentrated. Any one (current or recent ex) got any insight into current goings on? Morale, pipeline, type of work etc etc? Big4toCapco. You are reasonably well informed. On the partners front 80% left (4/5) with three going to E&Y, one to PwC in Jan/Feb of this year. Since then, at a minimum, 60% of the consultants have departed only to be replaced by ACN partners and consultants in droves. Decision to sell the firm was obviously taken late last year and the partners at the time weren't prepared to tie themselves in for the long haul and therefore left.They were acquired a few weeks back. I imagine that the money on offer is reasonably good but then again they are doing a rebuild to some extent. No idea about current morale but one would guess it has improved as many of the new ACN people will all know each other and obviously got paid up to join. Client base is very concentrated but with the new management I would suspect that they must be able to open up new lines of business.Type of work is a bit mixed retail/Cap Mkts with and used to be good in Murex etc but they have almost all gone. Big on bodyshopping as opposed to consulting
