Good Evening Everyone,I am posting to ask advice on moving from Industry into Consulting.I am almost CIMA qualified with a 1st Class Honours from the University of Manchester. Currently, I am working for a large NASDAQ listed technology firm within a business partnering / management accountancy role. For a number of reasons I feel that as I am early on in my career a consultancy role would be more fitting for myself and really want to be successful for applications to McKinsey, Bain, BCG or other large consultancies.I will be applying to an entry route into an analyst position later in the year once I have finished my CIMA qualification.A few questions I wanted to ask, which I hope users of this forum can help with is this:i) Which firms have a large Technology, Media, Telecommunications division?ii) What are the chances of changing into an analyst role, and is there anything I can do to strengthen my application? If anyone on here has moved into a analyst role recently I really would like to hear from you. iii) Anyone who has had experience in both industry and consultancy, could you provide your personal view of the key areas I would need to develop to be successful in consulting.Kind Regards,Ciaran
