I've recently (within the last three months) been promoted to Senior Manager in a Big 4 firm. I've now been given the opportunity to move to an interesting role in another consultancy.Obviously there are lots of factors feeding into my decision, and this particular question probably isn't going to swing me one way or the other. But one thing I'm wondering is whether it will reflect badly on me to quit relatively soon after being promoted. I'm not really concerned about what my (potential) new employer thinks, but do you think this would seriously blot my copybook with my current employer? Not that I would necessarily want to come back, but I don't really want to burn bridges. I can understand why they'd be a bit peed off, though.
