what explanation has been given to you for your not being allowed to? what data leads you to believe that the correlation with race and gender is more than coincidence?

Its not the reason that others have been allowed to work from home and the OP has not.

If ALL white males are not allowed to work from home while ALL white females and ALL of non UK descent are allowed (males and females) then all white males at your firm may have a case.....but if its all White males who work on key systems that cant be accessed from outside the network then its thats work requirements and not discrimination....Surely you have tried to find out why exactly your not allowed to work from home? Or did the manager actually tell you - 'You cant work from home coz you are a White Male'Aces

OP

No I asked to work from home (for a limited time, for personal reasons, systems access could be arranged easily) and was told it was out of the question and against company policy. Other colleagues have since been permitted to work from home (female or Indian) as and when they wish. So the policy only applies to me then?
