Hi all,I am on the waiting list of a top tier business school for Sept 2011 intake, so I still have a chance to get in…but now it is certainly down to chance. After 3 Years in industry, I am set into working in consulting and will start applying shortly. However, I am unsure of how open I should/can be about being on a waiting list.I would go for whichever offer I receive first, MBA or consulting (as long as I am happy with the role, I would then remove myself from the waiting list and re-apply a couple of years down the line as long as it fits in my career path).Do you have any suggestions on how to handle this type of situation in interviews?Thanks for your help and have a nice Friday.

I don't see why you should volunteer this information. There is nothing you can gain from telling your potential employer about the waiting list. I would just keep quiet about it.

I would just keep mum. If in future you realize you don't like the job and want to go for an MBA- you can always do that. Just don't mention it on your CV. Remember your interests always come first. The firm won't hesitate to fire you if they get into trouble!
