Dear All,Quick question, but perhaps a lengthy way of asking it!!I graduated with a 2:1 as a Master of Engineering (not Oxbridge), but the course was ranked 1st in The Times at time of graduation. I have worked as an Engineer for approx 5 years, 2 of which mainly project managing. The shine somewhat rubbed off about a year ago and decided to go for an MBA (not a top tier b-school, but still ranked 4th in the UK's current RAE rankings, which impresses nobody I know!) as a means of entering the Management Consulting world. I am now a few months from completing the MBA, and trying to get an interview for Ops Management or Business Transformation at junior/consultant level. My biggest problem is, despite doing them 10 years ago, my UCAS points are not enough for the big 4s and certainly not for the MBBBs. First Question: Could this be a hurdle too great applicable for all consulting companies (big and boutique)? As, a side note; my UCAS points are still respectable (in my rose tinted opinion) but they are circa 20 to 40 points short from most requirements advertised.Am I realistic with my goal of entering the Consulting profession?Any advice would be much appreciated...Thanks.
