Sounds about right - were less competitive than Acc when I looked last year. Not sure whether the benefits and bonus make up for it.

Hi DCM,Quick one to double check if you are confident those salary bands are correct as for a Manager that seems a bit low?I don't know Deloitte that well but I thought they were competitive payers?Rgds

Hi, In general, how long is someone expected to stay at each level? I know that its at most 21 months for the Analyst position, but i'm not sure about Consultant onwards. Also, to what extent does your rating affect your salary when promoted?

Hi Grad,I think to be honest it's best someone who's been in MC a lot longer than me answers this for you. From my point of view, your rating does affect salary potential at any level - the higher the rating, the more positive argument you have for higher salaries when going for promotions. I have always done well at these points partly due to the high performance grades backing me up.As to how long you have to stay on a role - well it all cones down to what is available/when/suitability but a high performer can move within 1-2 yrs in my experience. However, happy to be corrected by one of the more experienced guys.Rgds

Deloitte salary for staff has typically been lower than the other Big 4. I suspect they can get away with it as it has a higher average partner salary, which has made some people want to stay! However I hear about 6-9 months ago, they did a salary adjustment as many people weren't happy that the pay is below benchmark.Salary aside, I think you need to look at other factors like work/life balance and culture. I have worked in a couple of consulting firms now and I would say my Deloitte hours were by far the worst in my consulting career.
