Dear forum, final round with back2back partner interviews is approaching. Could care for any tips as to what to expect. Have been told to expect everything, so would love to hear any about similar situations from you and how the experience was?

See! now that it some good advice! I was not told to expect everything so I must say, when the partner showed up on his horse and picked me up on our way to the meeting room, it really threw me.I will narrow it down for you:you can expect the partner to show up most probably on foot. perhaps on time, perhaps not. The partner will be asking you a lot of questions and perhaps testing you on your ability to be a consultant or perhaps not. good luck

Yes, the Partner was very powerful and impressive. We all admired and respected him for being such an impressive person. He was more impressive than anybody could ever have imagined. And so powerful too.

I was once asked about the reasons for the financial crisis (time when it just started)- I knew it was because of the credit agencies, easy credit available (e.g. low interests). He asked me why were banks lending so recklessly? Why were the interest rates so low? something I couldn't answer very well as I didn't know how to answer when I didn't know the answer!

based on what the brief tells you, i think you can expect two partners strapped to each other. this is the only way

Expect:- A case study with a twist (obscure problem that most candidates miss because they weren't MECE enough)- Perhaps a role play (especially dealing with office politics; or the whole 'how long have you been a consultant' line of questioning)- Discussion about career aims. Hint: they are well aware that not everybody wanted to be a McKinsey partner from the age of 10Simples.

Oh yeah ! You can feel so much power flowing through a partner's body.If you are one of the lucky few given the opportunity to shake a partner's hand, you will be overwhelmed with his wonderful aura. Just like a blessing. If you are a good-looking girl, the impact he will have on you will be multiplied by 10 or 20. Partners are often compared to tigers. Be a Tiger !
