Hi,I have been offered role of Software Engineering Senior Analyst role in Testing. During interview process, the topic of being mobile was lightly touched upon but offer letter states it very clearly with below statement."As discussed during the interview process, your role will require you to be mobile. This means that you will not be permanently dedicated to any one client site or project. "I am a married female with around 7 yrs of exp and am very tensed after looking this offer letter. I have following queries:1. Does ACN always expects resources to be mobile at this level?2. Is there any work life balance? how is the culture? If long hours...how much in general?3. Does Manager changes after certain period or the manager remain same for longer duration.4. I have been told that joining location would be london but then I could be placed anywhere for testing...so my base working location could be New castle. But then again, I would required to be mobile....so what would be the exact location...where should I relocate with my family & kids? Does ACN looks into these factors after probation period?Regards,Roxie0101

Your base will still be London and you'll be expected to keep a house/flat there with your family. In your client location you'll get either a hotel or a flat which you will stay in 3/4 nights a week then travel back home to London. If your partner doesn't work the company might let you bring him/her and the kids up to where you are but it's not the norm.Your manager will change depending on project, you will always have a "career counsellor" as a permanent point of reference in the company.

hi, 1. you are expected to be mobile, and they will make you sign a contract with that statement. 2. most of the testing happens from offshore locations (some happens in UK too)...you are likely to be managing the testing teams in india etc which "could" be done from your home office... 3. however, if you are required to work from client office then this could be anywhere!! and i mean anywhere, UK, abroad etc..4. This will be the same for any big consultancy company you apply for and not just accenture. 5. if you really want to work for accenture, then i suggest you sign the contract and when it comes to finding a role you give your preference. it is not always possible to give you what you want so you might have to end up taking a role which is not in testing..6. if you want a guarantee on location then look for a job in industry, that's my honest opinion. 7.there is no such a thing as "work life balance"...thats what my 9 year experience has taught me. no one will take care of you, you have to create your own balance!
