I am looking to make a change, but I am not sure if I am deemed ready yet.I have a successful career in IT. now and ex-Microsoft Certified Trainer, two study guides published, 15 years experience, managing UK infrastructure team of Fortune 250 for the last 5 years (grows by acquisition), half way through a self study MBA at the Open University business school.I have tried experienced professional at McKinsey which was rejected.I want to make the change but I have not completed the MBA yet.10 years out of the job hunting market and I am worried I am out of my depth or not ready.thoughts or advice?

Yeah, they must receive loads of applications.I got a compliment for my experience in acquisition/merger/divestiture/consolidation IT experience. but they where very strict on certain qualifications... in my case, being only half way done with the masters.
I'm just imagining what it must be like to be a hiring manager at McKinsey
Hilarious I imagine."I've done a 3 day course in business processing and feel I could excel at your organisation""I'm Prince 2 certified and ready to run your client projects"Etc...

ouch, I deserve that!I take it by the replies that I am not deemed ready for the transition. Although the experience gets compliments, I guess its the qualification that counts. Most of the time its the other way around...
