Avoid this company. They rerport growth alhough 80% of their projects are internal (Atos pays Atos consulting receives). They recruited 60 people since 2011 and lost 10 within less than a year from those 60 mainly due to the absence of consulting work and no career framework or development whatsoever. They are now moving to a more IT focused model and less consulting which might ba more appropriate for them due to the nature of work of the atos group

I have an assessment centre with Atos on Wednesday so shall let you guys know how it goes. Unfortunately they don't seem to have a great reputation on here due to previous experiences (dating back to 2008).Although I do have friends in other parts of Atos (managed services and project management) and they are fairly happy but have said it's no different from any mainstream IT services firm. As you can tell I'm from an IT consulting background ......so it's pretty accurate that they are looking for more tech focused consultants to integrate with their primary business.

Hi a07,Your friends are quite accurate. There is a big overlap of what Atos does what Atos consulting is planning to do. Reason being atos consulting has lost its reputation in consulting so they are used instead to bodyshop the rest of the work Atos as a group has with their clientsHence this raises the question of why not joining the bigger part of Atos such as MS and SI who are the service lines winning the work in the first place and can offer you a better career framework if you want to specialise in IT and project managementIt really depends on personal aspirations but if you want to build a career in consulting I wouldnt say it is the best place

Fredy Lack of vacancies within the MS and SI areas is one reason! Also my background lends itself easily to IT consulting. Specifically within the MS and SI space for me at the moment the only suitable vacancies are in PMO which isn't a great career move.Partner interview tomorrow so shall report back on progress shortly.

Well I can see where the bad reputation now comes from. Had my partner interview and it was pretty disorganised (ended up interviewing with a partner from a completely different service line to the one I had applied to)! To top it off the Partner felt it appropriate to f and blind during the interview. Overall impression not great - could expand but rather keep the intimate details offline.
