Hi all,After consulting for 2.5yrs (joined big consulting grad scheme straight from uni – think Accenture, Deloitte, EY) I’m doing a little career reassessing and am keen to earn more ££ to start to saving up for the elusive house deposit. Since joining consulting I have worked mostly within the Financial Services industry (think Retail banking & Transaction banking rather than IB) and pre consulting completed an internship at an investment bank (Risk mgmt).Given this experience and a genuine interest in the financial markets I am tempted to try to make the move back into investment banking and would rather not start again on a grad scheme as I turned down an offer before (probably a mistake given the questions in this post!) Does anyone have any experience of making the jump from consulting they can share? Any tips on the best areas to target for maximum £ / maximum consultant appeal without working weekends? (suggestions outside IB welcome too - Keen to avoid overly techy roles too)I may look like a relentless gold digger but I've now worked out I’m pretty much happy doing most jobs as long as I don't work weekends and can feel like I'm getting the better end of the deal from a reward perspective. Thanks,
