Hi everyone,I'm aware the image I'm describing below is oversimplified and possibly inaccurate, but I hope it helps to explain what I'm looking for.Within and beyond the core Consulting industry there is perhaps a spectrum of services that firms choose to provide:This end - high business and commercial focus, lower people focus1. Business strategy2. Business performance analysis3. Change "design and installation" (org, process, management systems, IT)4. Change "implementation" (ditto) including behaviour change5. Coaching and Training to teams6. Executive coaching7. Life coaching8. Counselling and TherapyThis end - high people focus, lower commercial focus (although it's still the context)I spent 8 years with an "implementation" firm that covered 2-5 above, but mainly 3-4. I enjoyed the win-win for the business and the players: the management system and process improvements meant better elimination of performance gaps; whilst the players got out of a job rut, did some new and exciting work and went home each day feeling more empowered and responsible.Rather than pure coaching, I want to coach in the context of implementing systems and processes (i.e. structure for business and personal success). I am comfortable with the model of one Consultant facilitating a team of client players to perform and bond. And I am happy to lose some of the business analysis work. The QUESTIONS:- what firms do you know of that operate something like 4-6 in my list?- how do "coaching" providers generate their business case, assuming they are not as tied to commercial results as say Implementation consultancies?- what are the routes and barriers to making this career move? Thanks in advance for your advice.JT
