Good morning.I am attending Deloitte career event tomorrow for Technology consulting. Honestly speaking, I am a bit confused here (please no slanting for my confusion)What will happen there? I mean is it going to be a kind of an informal interview or just presentations from Deloitte people. What is the level of one to one interaction etc?Would be nice to hear from someone who has been to such events before and even better if someone has been specifically to Deloitte career event. Also any responses from insiders/recruiters will be highly valued.Rgds,Lez

Its just another event. Let me check you are a graduate?This is meant for graduates only:- Presentations on how good Deloitte is. After the presentation you have a chance to talk to them. - Good for understanding the culture at Deloitte (type of people you will be working with). -It’s also a good opportunity to understand about the role. -They will still ask you to apply online and won't take your CV. if you get to the interview you could say you met X at the event were v impressed by them etc (to show your motivation)Frankly, i have attended lots of career events. They are all the same kind. They won’t tell you what’s wrong with them only what’s good about them…and much of it is all lies

Bit harsh...probably fairer to say they talk about their strengths.

Sorry if I sounded harsh. You should definitely attend these events. Its a great networking opportunity as well as getting to know Deloitte.I attended far too many I believe. So I would suggest being selective in terms of firms and roles you are interested in.
