I am a strategy professional (approx. 5 yrs experience) with experience gained primarily in FMCG. As a keen musician (hobby), I believe I would find my calling working in the music industry -probably a record label- in a strategic/marketing capacity, thus mixing my passion with my trade. So my question to a forum of professionals who very often end up moving into Industry roles in all types of sectors is: what is the best approach, or mix of approaches, to targeting roles in a very specific industry?... what do you see as the pros and cons of:1) Shortlisting companies of interest, and trying to network your way in with contacts, linkedin, etc.2) Speculative applications3) Registering with agencies for when any roles come up in that industry sector
