Hi guys,Does anyone know how long IBM GBS UK take to come back with a yay/nay after the assessment? I attended one of these sessions last week and have not heard either way and my application status on IBM career portal still shows 'Assessment' ?

Usually, you would hear back in 3-5 working days. <=3 - They are very keen4/5 - Still quite keen5> - Could be busy or could be a problem. I wouldn&apos;t stress too much everyone is busy at the moment with recruitment. If you don&apos;t hear anything by tomorrow afternoon give them a call.Which day last week was your interview? Last Monday or last Friday makes a big difference!!

It was on last Thursday-and there are no phone numbers on any of the emails I received!Monday was a bank holiday so its 4 days now (last friday + 3 working days this week)It would be good to know if any other folks who went to the bedfont location last week have been contacted by IBM team yet

I would give you a heads up but just in case that gets deemed as giving away insider information, I will hold back till i hear from the assessment team...you should be relaxed though and most importantly DO NOT try to act-consultancy is a genetic skill and if you dont have it in you then the last thing you can do to help the situation is try to put on a show - the interviewers are clever- try not to fool them...my 2p

By the way does it ever happen that IBM GBS do not come back to you in case you are not given an offer? that would be petty...like them frivolously sad agencies that come 20p to the dozen

Dino,Thanks for that, could you at least provide an overview on how the assessment day is shaped?

You will have a group study (group of 5-6) and then 3 individual interviews - Technical, HR and Client Partner..HR will screw you the most with the most outrageous of behavioral questions - and they will not be afraid to make you feel low - i mean REALLY low - for the HR part leave your ego out of the meeting room no matter what level you are applying for- but of course they are doing this for a specific reason and not because they dont like your face or anything like that

Update- I rang the UK Applications Headline today and was advised that if I were NOT selected , I would have heard from IBM within 2-3 days. I actually got an offer from them yesterday after 11 working days of assessment center visit.Looks solid!!!!

Cannt tell you what role that is for John! as for the group study, well its not something you can prepare for- the focus is on assessing how you would perform in a typical board-room discussion where there are some top level decisions to be made by your client and everyone is staring at you for direction and advise!
