Can't go into too much detail, but don't expect much sympathy from them if you have a personal issue which requires you to work to your contracted hours for a while or otherwise work in a slightly flexible way. I ran a mile when I heard some of the stories about how tough they are with their staff. It may or may not be true, but was enough to raise concern in my own mind.

ex-ADLer (now somewhere much better)

One of my ex colleagues described ADL as the firm with a great future behind it and I would agree.Once upon a time ADL was (almost) top tier but those days are long gone. The Directors are mixed - I didn't ever feel there was much in the way of inspirational leadership in London. The energy practice is fairly well regarded in the niche they occupy but the others are a mixed bag.Not a glowing recommendation.

Hi PaulI would agree with what has already been said - ADL used to be pretty good and well regarded but not any more...I met a few people from their energy practice (which is indeed quite well known in the [energy] industry) 2 years ago - smart and interesting guys but did not seem to do the kind of work I am interested in.Anyway - no harm in meeting them...Good luckLorin
