Hi forum,I was hoping to get your opinion on this. I've been offered a Senior Consultant role for a boutique (Big 4 tier) for 70k GBP. Previously, I was a Manager with an American boutique (Big 4 tier as well) with full engagement management, sales and practice management responsibilities. This London based SC offer is no doubt a step down in responsibility and title (compensation is comparable to my previous Manager compensation though) and realistically a promotion would take 1 to 2 years. I'm concerned about my long term opportunities as people may see me as someone with very slow progression. I'm 30 now and looking to maintain my progression. I know some SC roles are Manager equivalents, but this offer is definitely not. Should I keep looking? Is the market that tough? If the pay wasn't matching what I was making, then it would have been an automatic no.I'm an ops excellence / business transformation consultant with 7 years consulting experience and a few years of industry.Any thoughts would help.
