Hi all,ContextI have been working in industry for 4 years (FMCG market analysis and National Accounts), I am progressing well but I feel frustrated by the lack of variety in my work.I am entrepreneurial in character, love problem solving and would relish the variety of project work within a consultancy. I have several friends working in top firms and they feel a move into consultancy would be right up my street.QuestionMy £50-55k current package is built on a number of elements - base salary, bonus, car allowance, profit share etc.I am aware that I may need to take some form of salary cut in the short term to move into a junior consultancy role, but have a mortgage to pay and want to get clued-up on typical forms of remuneration within the industry.Do firms tend to operate a bonus scheme or any form of performance related pay? If so what are the typical components of salary structure? Thanks in advance for taking the time to give me your thoughts.Jim
