Dear all, I'm new on the site and was keen to get some advice. I'm trying to gauge Atos Consulting's reputation/pedigree as: A consulting firmAn employer CV impact I have 15 years consulting experience gained at one of the Big 4 and a boutique Outsourcing consultancy. I have been approached for a Partner or Associate Partner role. My concerns are: They have a 'cheap' reputation They are not tier 1 e.g. Accenture/ Deloitte What's everyone's thoughts? RB

Hmm. I find it interesting that they would approach somebody to join as a Partner or Associate Partner, when that person is sufficiently far removed from them to not really know anything about their reputation/pedigree. I mean, to join at that level they surely would expect you to pretty much know them inside out already? (this isn't a criticism of you at all by the way, I'm just saying it's somewhat surprising that they're approaching people for senior positions even though those people aren't really very close to the firm at all). I think that's the point that would concern me the most?

Interviewed there sometime ago, unfortunately the reputation or lack of does show - wont go into anymore detail here but certainly the partner I interviewed with showed me how not to conduct an interview. Also got the impression service lines were subject to change as they have gone from 4 to 3 integrating services which they had recently restructured. Not sure of the reason why though - presuming lack of work?

Last I heard much of their work was internal rather than client facing. It really depends on what chips you will be cashing in to go there. It's hard to envisage exactly what firm you would see Atos as being a progression from. And what are they playing at, hiring in laterally at Partner level anyway? This smacks of kill-eat-vomit to me. I expect to see you back on the market, much bruised, in 6 months.
