I was wondering if anyone knew of which firms, preferable on the smaller side, had a lot of business in South America? I'm looking for the right fit and figured I should crowd-source to optimise my search

I would have a look at Integration Consulting (www.integrationconsulting.com). They are the largest consultancy in Brazil but has smaller offices in other parts of Latin American and London.

Instead of solely targeting consulting outfits, you might also want to consider industries/companies. Gave previous examples, i.e. Santander and Telefonica.

VicCharlotte, try and find out who is going to deliver all the infrastructures (for lack of a better word) for the forthcoming Olympics and Football (aka soccer) World Cup in Brazil. Work starts VERY early on. And book your Brazilian Portuguese course asap.:)Except, they're not exactly going to be a small firm, unless we are talking small local suppliers etc... :O
