Is band 8 in IBM GBS a managing or senior consultant?

'Senior Managing'? What's that supposed to be I wonder? Govenor that Managing/Senior Managing is about as accurate and meaningful a distinction as Associate Director/Director in the Big 4, i.e. HR willfully massaging ego. B8 is an SC by any other name - nothing wrong with it.

It used to be Senior Consultant but was uprated to Managing Consultant.Not only massages egos but you can bill more for Managing Consultants. Everybody is happy (except perhaps the client).

Don't we all just love grade inflation?
